HEAVY RAIN ALERT
A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE FIJI GROUP.
Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the north of Fiji. Meanwhile, another trough approaches the group from the west. Associated cloud and rain with prevailing moist northwesterly wind flow to affect the group till later tomorrow.
Forecast: For Vanua Levu and Northern Lau group: Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
For Interior parts of Viti Levu, Sigatoka through Navua, extending to Suva upto Tailevu North: Occasional showers, increasing to rain and becoming frequent in the afternoon or evening with few thunderstorms.
Elsewhere, partly cloudy with occasional rain and isolated heavy falls with thunderstorms developing from the afternoon today.
Moderate northwesterly winds, gusty in area of heavy falls. Moderate seas, rough in squalls.
