FLASH FLOOD WARNING DOWNGRADED ALERT
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING PREVIOUSLY IN FORCE FOR AREAS FROM TAVUA, RAKIRAKI, TAILEVU, INTERIOR OF NAITASIRI TO NAUSORI AND SUVA IN SOUTH EASTERN VITI LEVU IS NOW DOWNGRADED TO ALERT.
FLASH FLOOD ALERT
A FLASH FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR AREAS FROM BA TO SERUA INCLUDING SIGATOKA AND NAVUA AND ITS INTERIOR.
Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain lies slow moving over the northern and eastern parts of the Fiji group. The associated clouds and rain continues to affect country till Sunday.

THE FLOOD ALERT THAT WAS IN FORCE FOR ALL LOW LYING FLOOD PRONE AREAS ADJACENT TO AND DOWNSTREAM OF WAILEVU RIVER IS NOW CANCELLED.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING
A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR RA-NAITASIRI-TAILEVU NORTH, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS.
Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain lies slow moving over the northern and eastern parts
of the Fiji group. The associated clouds and rain continues to affect country till Sunday.
Forecast for the entire Fiji group:
Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Ra-Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Vanua Levu,
Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers with afternoon thunderstorms and heavy falls.
Forecast Confidence: Moderate to high.

Possible Impacts:
Flash flooding of flood-prone areas, rivers/streams, low-lying informal settlements/communities and Irish crossings leading to traffic disruptions.
Surface flooding on streets in urban areas with poor drainage.
Wet roads and reduced visibility, especially during heavy downpours, increasing the risk of road accidents.
